Open Water
This course certifies you as a SCUBA diver for life. (But, remember practice makes better!) These classes usually are held on either tuesday and thursday evenings, or monday and wednesdays (see the calendar). Classes run from 6pm to 11:30. The first 2 hours or so is a classroom session, followed by a break and then 2 hours of training dives in the pool at War Memorial Gym. Classes fill up quickly! A $50 deposit and completed registration and medical forms will secure you a spot. The remaining balance must be paid before the first class.
- What it costs: $275.00.
- What you need: mask, fins, booties, and snorkel (considered personal gear). These can be purchased at a local dive shop.
- Other requirements: You MUST review and sign a health form indicating you have no medical conditions that prevent you from getting certified.

- All gear, with exception of personal gear, and airfills free during duration of class.
- Additionally, one weekend complete SCUBA rental (we want you to dive :-)
