Location
South Holsten, TN. Take 81 S to exit 17. Turn left onto S 75.
Go 12.2 miles then turn right at the stop sign onto 421 N. Go 3.3 miles and
turn left at Shelley's Chicken House Deli. Bear right at the fork in the road
and the recreation area is another 1 mile away. There are directional signs to
the dam as well as these directions
Description
Site of hydroelectric dam. Depths greater than 130 feet. Really
cool rock formations closer toward the shore, but the bottom is silty toward
the center of the cove. There are two shipwrecks in the cove in 50' of water
depending on the water level (a marker buoy is attached to the boat as well).
Generally better viz >15'.

The dam is 1600' long and 285' tall.
